We were able to sleep in today since we didn’t have any excursions planned for Belize. With Belize being a tender port, the ship can’t dock at the city so you have to take a ~30 min boat ride to land. We decided to do some stuff on the ship in the morning and then see if we wanted to go ashore to shop. First off was breakfast at Windjammer. Today we both tried the omelette station. I ordered a ham, cheese, and bacon omelette. It was pretty good I might just have to do that again. Omelette station:
After breakfast we got ready to do the waterslides. When we got up there we saw that they had the Tidal Wave one closed for maintenance. So we just did the racing slides over and over. Then I convinced myself to give the Flow Rider a try. During this time they were doing boogie boarding and not stand up surfing. I’ve done this before on previous cruises so I thought I could handle it. Despite being fairly coordinated with all other sports, apparently my water surfing skills are not up to par. I could not stay on that darn thing.
It was nice and toasty but we decided to take a tender and go ashore to walk around and look at shops. Since it was lunch time, we didn’t stay at the port long because we wanted to eat back on the ship. When catching our return tender, we came across a boat named for Amy.
We grabbed a bite at the buffet and then Amy decided to rest in our room while I watch boats tender and also listened in on some trivia.
Dinner time was approaching so we got dressed and headed up to the Suite lounge to grab some drinks and watch the last tenders come in. Right before dinner they were having the first parade of DreamWorks characters on the Promenade. So we headed to check that out before going to eat.
We had another efficient dinner in the main dining room finishing in plenty of time to see the second comedian to perform on the ship. This guy wasn’t quite as entertaining as our 1st comedian but hey, it’s free.

Then to cap off the night it was the late night infamous adult Quest game show. A quick description if you haven’t heard of it. At the beginning of the show we are divided into teams based on where we are sitting. Then we have a man and woman from our team represent us on the floor and perform the tasks asked. What is asked can be as innocent as “bring me a sock with a hole in it from your team”. Your team scores points for what order the item is brought back to the cruise director. Things can turn south fast when he asks for items such as false teeth, odd location tattoos, and other items of clothing you might imagine as inappropriate (that’s why it’s adults only and late at night).
After that it was bed time with an alarm set to make sure we don’t sleep too late. We will be in Cozumel, Mexico tomorrow and our goal is to leave the ship around 9am. We will be in Mexico for Cinco de Mayo. Supposedly there’s a parade that is going on in the morning which will cause many of the stores we were planning on visiting to close for the day. We’ll see when we get there.
